So after two days of baking, I needed a break. I mentioned a while back that I bought a stash of new things to keep me going whilst stuck inside, and today I decided to break one of them out: some glow-in-the-dark, foam nunchucks. Entirely made for children, but it was the nearest I was ever (or should ever) get to using nunchucks, so I was dying to give them a go!
During a lull in my family’s weekly Virtual Pub Quiz ritual, I decided to get them out and have a go. Tensions were running high thanks to a quarrel over the right answer, so it was time for the halftime entertainment to step in…

These were so much fun! I managed to get into a bit of a rhythm and was whipping them from hand to hand like a pro before long. The tension was quickly defused by hilarious laughing at my new-found skill, and the night was saved. In fact, these glow-in-the-dark nunchucks were so much fun, we decided to use them to dance in the dark with for one of Jarvis Cocker’s late night discos.

I’m sure our neighbours wondered what on earth was going on but we had the best night we’d had in ages, all thanks to these glow-in-the-dark nunchucks!
