This is something I’ve never done but always wanted to. I’m a hip hop fan and love a dance, so it seems like a perfect fit! I was looking for more ways to stay active whilst social distancing and came upon a Hip Hop workout class. Ok, so not a true Hip Hop class, but it could be the closest thing I’ll get for a while!
Although this had lunges, squats, and push-ups in, the majority of the video was learning some moves, to put all together into one dance. This is something I’ve never done before, so I’m classing it as my first dance class!
I enjoyed it so much, the music was great, and the instructor kept things really fun and light. I also liked that there were diverse body types behind the instructor, something you don’t often see in an exercise video. The alternative moves that were offered were also a nice addition, making the class more accessible and open to beginners.
A really great experience, that released some well-needed endorphins for the rest of the day. I’ll be absolutely doing this video again, and I hope to one day make it to a real-life Hip Hop dance class!
