Today had to be a quick and easy one, as I’d spent all day on the sofa, full of cold and feeling sorry for myself. Luckily, I have a very stylish and helpful husband who could help me with today’s new thing – how to tie a tie.
I have actually never worn a tie, and don’t intend to in the future, and to be honest there’s no deep reasoning behind this list item: it is simply something I’ve never done before. They can’t all be groundbreaking!
My husband first showed me how to tie it on myself, and then I tried to tie one on him. I like it in films and television when somebody helps to tie a tie, so I wanted to have that skill in my back pocket in case I’m ever called upon.
As you can see, I managed it, and although initially a little fiddly, it wasn’t as difficult as I’d imagined. Admittedly not an interesting new thing, but hopefully a useful one!
